What a Tasting Is

A tasting is where everything starts to feel real. Whether you’re exploring if we’re the right fit or finalizing details after booking, this is your opportunity to preview the menu, talk through service, and ensure the experience feels aligned before we move into the next phase.

  • Space to share feedback and request adjustments

  • Confidence before finalizing the menu and stepping into production planning. We’ll also use this time to workshop ideas and review tabletop options with our partners at Table Manners.

Before Booking a Tasting

Review and align on a preliminary proposal (budget + scope + service style)

Confirm the event basics: date, venue, estimated guest count

Confirm what you’d like to taste: menu items, cocktails.

TO MAKE THE TASTING PRODUCTIVE, YOU SHOULD COME PREPARED WITH:

  • “Must-haves” and “no-gos”

  • Inspiration photos, style references

  • Any priorities around service flow (cocktail hour pacing, dinner timing, late night)

  • Bar preferences (if tasting cocktails)

When Tastings Happen

GENERAL AVAILABILITY: Tuesday through Friday.

LEAD TIME: We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance whenever possible (especially in peak wedding season).

SCHEDULING NOTE: Weekly slots are limited and confirmed based on kitchen availability.

Tasting Fee +

Payment Details

THE TASTING FEE IS $300 FOR UP TO 4 GUESTS (PLANNER ATTENDANCE IS COMPLIMENTARY)

The $300 tasting fee is credited toward the deposit if you book with us.

Payment can be made by check or credit card.

  • We offer one comprehensive tasting per event. It is designed to provide full clarity on menu, service, and experience before production planning begins. Additional tastings are not part of our process.

  • Tastings are proposal-based and built around the menu direction you’re considering for your event. They are not designed to sample the full Contigo menu. The goal is to confirm flavor, style, and overall fit, not to try every available option.

  • If you’d like to request additional guests, please let us know in advance so we can review availability and provide updated pricing.

  • Tastings are hosted Tuesday through Friday based on kitchen availability.

  • Yes. We can accommodate many dietary needs when shared in advance, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and certain allergies, as feasible. Please note that while we take precautions, we cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.

  • Tasting dates are confirmed based on limited weekly kitchen availability. If you need to reschedule, please notify our team as soon as possible so we can review alternate dates.
